Gabriel has mad skills on trumpet, flute, trombone, and vocals, and covers mainstream, contemporary, and New Orleans style jazz and blues with a commanding presence and strong stage show. The ubiquitous horn-meister likes to mix midcentury modern with the au courant, drawing on influences of such icons as Blue Mitchell, Chet Baker, with more contemporary purveyors such as Rick Braun and Chris Botti. He wraps all his skills and influences into a punchy stage show that incorporates the best of those idioms as appropriate for the audience's absorption, drawing from his 12 cd critically acclaimed releases
